Summary
The primary function of this position is to manage the maintenance, repair and the return to service of on-bus electronic components. This individual will ensure that all work performed is accomplished in accordance with all company regulations. Initiative and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions, as well as interface with maintenance personnel, Customer Service, Safety, Operations Support Center and vendors to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⢠Daily management of all onboard electronic equipment including security components, GPS communication equipment, and onboard media equipment to ensure the highest quality onboard experience is provided to customers
⢠This position will be the technical subject matter expert for all onboard electronics, including communicating and training personnel on equipment updates and/or newly sourced equipment
⢠This position will update product manuals including electrical drawings and wiring documents to ensure accuracy of published materials
⢠This position will manage and participate in daily fleet audits. This includes some data entry and performance reporting analysis. Incumbent must be able to lead monthly supplier meetings when assigned
⢠Develop and manage onboard equipment preventative maintenance programs. These programs will be performed in accordance with company regulations to ensure system integrity
⢠Lead maintenance personnel through problem solving activities to create long term solutions to chronic equipment or process challenges. Maintain and submit issues logs to management as required
⢠Manage inventory to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for replacement components and equipment
⢠Manage all asset tracking tools, weekly, including supplier provided web portals to ensure complete and accurate reporting is available
⢠Communicate regularly with management on the progress of assignments, challenges encountered, related work conditions, equipment or personnel
⢠Actively participates in safety or educational training as required
⢠Follows all safety standards & guidelines, including but not limited to, wearing of safety glasses, wearing of steel-toed/safety shoes, appropriate safety gloves as needed, and proper attire
⢠Ability to self-manage or work as part a group
REQUIREMENTS
⢠High School Diploma Required; Associate Degree in Electronics or Computer Science a plus
Experience
⢠2+ years supervisory experience
⢠5-7 years technical field experience
⢠Must have a valid DL
Skills
⢠Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
⢠Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and speech communication skills
⢠Demonstrated ability to work both independently, as well as, within a team environment
⢠Excellent organizational skills
⢠Ability to make routine independent decisions
⢠Ability to set and meet objectives
⢠Must be able to speak and read conversational English
⢠Candidate must have excellent communication skills in dealing with clients, management and co-workers
⢠Candidates must be prepared to travel and follow all company guidelines for travel expenses including managing the use of company credit card
