Oracle Learning Consultant

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Location: Hybrid - remote and up to 50% travel (negotiable). The client will cover travel expenses.

Overview

Apex Systems is working with a Big Four firm to place an Oracle Learning Consultant in a project at their healthcare industry end client. The Big Four firm has been working with this healthcare client since 2017, and they went live on Oracle Cloud HCM, Finance, and EPM in December 2020. The healthcare client is now ready for the Big Four firm to begin work on the next phase of modules: Oracle Learning and Oracle Talent Management will begin in June and Oracle Workforce Compensation will being in July.

Must haves:

• Strong experience working with end clients and representing the consulting firm's best practices in order to ensure that the end client is confident in the proposed solution
• Oracle HCM Learning implementation experience - preferably in healthcare industry but not necessary.
• Functional lead role - we need someone who can operate with very little direction and oversight as this is an independent role
• Project management experience - will be doing some project planning with client
• Experience managing and mentoring direct reports: one onshore support resource and one offshore technical resource. Neither of these resources has experience with Oracle Learning.
• Ability to perform hands-on functional configurations in Oracle Learning module

Responsibilities

• Create project plan and timeline for deliverables and other key activities
• Conduct discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements
• Conduct fit/gap analysis and identify possible workarounds where there are gaps in the system functionality
• Educate the client on best practices
• Design and build prototypes - lead design sessions to showcase leading practices and help drive a consistent and standardized solution
• Lead the client in key testing cycles including SIT, PIT, and OST. Assist with test case development.
• Help resolve defects and escalate issues with leadership and/or Oracle Support
• Provide weekly status updates on progress to internal program leadership
• Document functional requirements and oversee development of FRICEW technical objects (fast formulas, reports, integrations, conversions, extensions, workflow)
• Develop plan for cutover and post production support
