Urban Bird Services is the largest, most experienced bird abatement firm in the southern U.S.
We are looking to train 2 new installers to install bird prevention netting to keep birds from commercial structures at a large site in Val Verde County. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours and benefits, etc. We need to hire ASAP. No bird experience needed - WILL TRAIN.
Must have a current valid driver's license, and no felony convictions. Any misdemeanor arrests must be disclosed during interview. We must perform a thorough background check before hiring so please be honest and up front so that we don't waste any time.
Must also be able to pass a drug test; BUT after-hours, recreational 420 is acceptable.
Other Requirements: You will be working safely at heights with power tools on a boom lift under shade. If you don't think you can work comfortably and safely in a boom lift please do not apply.
Must have work experience in some type of minor construction such as carpentry, electrician, plumbing, installation, HVAC, etc. (working with tools and problem solving). We will supply all tools and safety gear.
Must be reliable, self motivated, and be prepared to work safely but efficiently with an emphasis on details. You must be and stay in good physical and mental health.
Days of work are usually Monday - Friday; work hours can vary depending on the project and deadlines.
Aerial lift experience / C-Card and OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred but these are not mandatory and we will train if need be.
A starting bonus of $500 will be paid: $250. at 2 weeks, and $250. at 4 weeks in addition to your regular pay. Pay is $20 - $22. per hour depending on work history, etc. At 60 days you will be reviewed and eligible for a pay increase as well as all full-time benefits including health, dental, vacation, 401k, etc. Job/Project is expected to last at least 6 months or longer.
This is a fairly easy job with no stress and steady, reliable income and hours. You must be safe and reliable!
