Local CPA firm is currently seeking a Certified Public Accountant to join its firm in the Kaufman area. The ideal candidate will have a broad working knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statement preparation, tax concepts, practices, and procedures and a strong understanding of federal and state income tax laws.
Qualifications to be considered for the CPA position include:
- CPA certification
- Prior experience (three or more years) with a public accounting firm in the area of write-up accounting and financial statement preparation.
- Prior experience (three or more years) with a public accounting firm in the area of tax preparation.
- Background preparing all types of returns with little supervision. Ability to supervise entry level tax staff on uncomplicated returns is preferred.
- Ability to efficiently use common technology such as MS Office, Quick-Books, accounting research tools and software programs to effectively produce accurate work products.
- Knowledge and use of Drake tax software a plus
