Altra is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to help our employees with their technology needs. Our Technical Support Specialists work as a team to fully support the systems and applications used by our employees. They manage the calls coming into the Help desk, working with the employee through resolution and documenting the calls in the ticketing system. They setup all user workstations and printers. They also monitor day-to-day operations of all of our systems, including managing the physical layout of equipment and cabling, performing system backups, monitoring system and network performance, documenting and implementing change control and patch management procedures, and testing for disaster recovery procedures.Â

Altra's Help Desk is open form 7:00 a.m. CST to 6:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday to support the majority of our retail branch hours across the country. This individual will rotate through various schedules within this time-frame, as well as rotate being on call for a week at a time 24/7 for that week, once every seven weeks.

Experience

Required

High school diploma or GED/HSED.

Associates degree in Computer Science or related experience OR three (3) years' of equivalent experience working in the field.

2 year(s): Minimum two (2) years' of Help Desk experience.

2 year(s): Minimum two (2) years' experience supporting workstations for a medium to large sized organization.

1 year(s): Minimum of one (1) year experience supporting networks, servers and other technical infrastructures for a medium to large size organization. Education
