Horizontal Directional Drill Operator Responsibilities and Duties:
-Operate various equipment in placing cable and conduit. To operate equipment (backhoe, trencher, plow, box pusher, tamper, boring).
-Perform shoring, slope trenching or excavation when necessary.
-Work around located utilities.
-Expose existing utilities by hand-digging.
-Read prints for cable placement and consult with foreman regarding different approaches to job. Read CATV and/or telephone prints.
Horizontal Directional Drill Operator Qualifications and Skills:
-Be willing to travel throughout the state (Primarily Northeast Texas) Monday through Friday and be home on the weekends
-Have a solid work ethic and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
-Be willing to learn and take initiative
-Have good judgment and the ability to work well within a team
-Have an insurance acceptable driver's license with ability to obtain a Class A CDL
