Love your job; join the Arrow Freight Management team. We are looking for a Full Time Diesel Mechanic.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems
Complete paperwork for repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
Maintain a clean, safe work area
Work with computer instrumentation
Work with manufacturing standards (e.g., know current standards, stay current with the technology, etc.)
Requirements:
Pass AFM technical assessment
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-5 years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
Valid driver's license (CDL Class A Driver License or ability to obtain one is a plus)
Ability to lift 55lbs
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
An appropriate tool set for the position
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information
Ability to work well with others
Must be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision
Fluency in Spanish and English
Welder/Fabricator experience abilities highly desirable
