The Journeymen NET Instructors are responsible for providing the necessary technical, logistical, engineering and training support to instruct the warfighter on how to use Mission Command systems in support of tactical, operational and strategic operations. The Journeymen NET Instructors must be able to effectively train all ranks from Flag Officer to Private. Essential duties will include: Conducting training in support of the PM MC fielded baselines in formal classroom instructor-led new equipment training (NET) and delta training to Soldiers and customers per established/approved programs of instruction (POIs) and training materials. Journeymen NET Instructors will provide instruction on assigned Mission Command systems and will also assist in developing, reviewing and modifying lesson plans to conform to new software or procedures. Will assist in modifying and verifying training databases and documentation. Will conduct training rehearsals in preparation for training missions and must validate and verify NET materials prior to departure for the training mission. Providing support on troubleshooting equipment, software, operational procedures and interoperability problems in support of NET Training. Providing information briefings, provided by the Government, to unit leadership on Mission Command systems. Supporting Mission Command in the development of all training POIs for Operator New Equipment Training (Operator, Maintainers System Administrators) and Maintenance. Responsible for providing technical and over the shoulder training support to the warfighter and Mission Command Team Mates. Coordinates with customers to identify support and technical needs in support of Mission Command systems concerning hardware and training materials. Participating in unit technical working groups and advising military members on the implementation and use of one or more Mission Command systems. Provides Field Service Representative (FSR) support to include technical, training and tactical assistance for the MC systems to ensure a timely and accurate resolution to technical problems globally. Preparing and submitting periodic status reports, trip reports, after action reports, Lesson Learned and Tactical Techniques and Procedures as required. Maintaining and expanding upon knowledge of fielded MC hardware and software and is expected to keep abreast of technical advances for all MC systems. Training may be conducted at CONUS or OCONUS locations, formal and informal environments and could include OCONUS locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Korea, Germany, Italy and Australia. Other duties as assigned. Qualified Candidates must possess: The ability to correctly operate MC hardware and software, and when required, be able to install/reinstall software, as well as configure hardware and conduct training. Must be able to conduct cross training and be certified with multiple MC systems. Ideal candidates will have hands-on and/or educational experience physically mounting electronic and communication systems, fielding major systems, encryption devices and other equipment as assigned. Experience in educating others in at least one of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (software or hardware), computers (software or hardware), fielding major systems, satellite networks, data encryptions, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, Fires, Command Posts, or Platforms. May be required to perform extended TDY CONUS and OCONUS as well as operations in contingency environments for 50% to 75% of time in support of Mission Command.Requirements In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. High School Diploma (or GED Equivalent) is required at a minimum in addition to at least five (5+) year of training experience; an AA or technical school certificate may be substituted for 2 years of experience for the highly qualified candidate. Must have completed the Army Basic Instructor (ABIC or ITC) School training and be a certified instructor. Experience with Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) such as Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Servers, GCCS-A or DRRS-A or Platform (JBC-P) or Fires (FSC2) systems is preferred. Requires Active DoD Secret security clearance, US Citizenship, valid State Issued US Driver’s License and a valid US Passport – or the ability to obtain a Passport within 30 days of starting employment. Candidates must be worldwide deployable and available for extensive travel and TDY assignments. Prior US Military experience preferred. Basic level skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold, and be able to maintain, a security clearance at the Secret level.
