RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in the Fort Worth, TX area that is seeking an Azure Data Architect III.

Summary:
The Azure Data Architect will be responsible for delivering high quality data storage solutions and efficient data integration strategies used to support both applications (OLTP) as well as business intelligence (OLAP) and advanced analytics and machine learning (NoSQL) across the Enterprise. Drawing on robust hands-on experience and leveraging multi-cloud services, NoSQL/Distributed systems, web services, and relational database technologies this team member will drive the adoption of multi-hybrid cloud data services as well as large scale data pipelines across the enterprise ensuring emerging business goals are met while maintaining a consistent and stabile data landscape. The Data Architect III leads and coordinates cross functional teams composed of developers, administrators, and business teams on a project basis to effectively communicate database design related activities to a wide range of technical, non-technical, and 3rd party team members. While they search for, identify, and exploit opportunities for more effective data storage and use; this team member will also participate in strategic discussions with department and IT leadership and provide mentorship to more junior team members.

REQUIREMENTS:
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Data Modeling and extensive experience in Modeling and Fact-Finding Techniques
Must have strong knowledge of Relational Database, Dimensional Database, NoSQL, and Hub and Spoke Database architectures
Advanced experience with current data technologies including Hadoop, Big Data, NoSQL, Data Virtualization, Data Services, Oracle, Oracle Exadata
Strong working knowledge of use of Data Modeling Software
Strong working knowledge of ETL & Data integration techniques, Informatica Power Center/Cloud preferred
Knowledge of SQL & SparkSQL
Hands-on experience in creation & usage of 3rd Normal Form OLTP Databases/Models, in creation & usage of ETL Design Specifications, and with Dimensional Models (STAR Schema, Kimball, Inmon)
Strong Understanding of Busing Intelligence Tools & both their functional and technical requirements, Cognos, and Power BI preferred
Must have understanding and knowledge in at least 1 (one) of the following Data Management disciplines: Data Vault, Master Data Management, Data Virtualization, Cloud Data Storage Services
Must be able to recognize and identify Patterns in Data Relationships from Disparate Systems
Ability to independently identify opportunities for improvement in Enterprise Analytical Databases
Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence, and UML diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain and across them
