We are looking for a passionate, energetic Java programmer to join an agile team that delivers value for reservation agents. You will have an opportunity to work with the Res Agent product group to deliver features and functionality as part of a highly collaborative, quality-focused team. This candidate must have strong fundamental technical skills as well as be a good communicator, have an eye for technical excellence and be able to contribute in all aspects of the development lifecycle as well as being a vocal, committed, passionate member of a highly collaborative team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Able to pair with experienced developers to modify complex code using best coding practices and guidelines
• Work with Architects and other team members to participate in application design
• Participate on all development activities utilizing Agile & DevOps principles
• Provide the highest level of technical production support for applications, assist others with complex problem resolution and respond with solutions to both functional and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in On-call rotation

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience with Java/J2EE/EJB/Servlet/JSP
• Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services
• Experience with SQL, Oracle
• Experience within Eclipse or IntelliJ based development environment
• Familiar with Message Driven Bean (MDB) and Java Messaging Systems
• Familiar with IBM WebSphere Server
• Familiar Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development
• Experience with Agile and DevOps software development methodologies
• Ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
• Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
