Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – PRN II – MAGNET, Level II Trauma CenterFast-paced, high volume ED department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104Work hours: PRN Level II/per diem, minimum requirement: 3 shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/1 minor holiday requirementDepartment Highlights100-bed Marion Emergency Care, 75,000 square foot Level II Trauma center

For minor care needs, the ED offers a Quick Care area designed to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic rooms.

Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of 22 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for the most severe trauma cases.

ER has a dedicated area for comprehensive, compassionate care of sexual assault victims.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 815-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. In early 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth opened a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region. Texas Health Fort Worth has more than 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers and nearly 1,000 physicians on its medical staff. Texas Health Fort Worth recently received national recognition for its oncology program and was named “Best Place to Have a Baby” in Tarrant County. The hospital is also a designated Cycle III Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain CentersHere’s what you needAssociate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required

BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

ACLS – within 90 days required

PALS – within 90 days required

TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire

1-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

Current ED strongly preferred

RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.

The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN willdemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
