Description Senior AccountantOne of Tarrant County's most prestigious clubs / organizations has a newly created Senior Accountant need as the organization continues to grow and expand! As Senior Accountant you will be involved with the daily accounting activities, interact heavily with the sales team and work closely with the General Manager, Controller and Activities Director.As Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include handling all of the daily accounting activities, work closely with the sales team to ensure revenue is record correctly and monitor expense controls, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, profitability analysis, month-end close, preparing financial statements and assist with any ad-hoc / special projects.My client has a beautiful environment and surrounds, offers excellent benefits, free daily meals and this person will have their own office!Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business and have 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, internal controls, daily accounting responsibilities, month end close and preparing financial statements. Vow to meet business deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Experience with Internal Control
Well-founded grasp of financial statement preparation
Command of budget forecasting
Budgeting experience
General familiarity with Expense Control
Proven knowledge of month end closings
Strong familiarity with Cash Flow Forecasts
Profitability Analysis experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong time management skills preferred
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
