Job Description:
This role is in Frisco TX, Need locals who will start as remote but can be asked to come down onsite during the project, so keep the right expectation
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our global desktop environment and provide various solutions viz. Windows desktop administration, Application packaging, Software distribution, etc. You will also be supporting Microsoft, Java and other Legacy platforms across NTT Data client organizations.
Must have at least 5-7 years experience in a Windows desktop support role and, more recently, modern cloud technology is a big plus.
5-7 years Desktop installation and servers management experience
5-7 years? experience in configuring, imaging, application packaging and software distribution projects
Must be enthusiastic, organized and adaptable; a quick learner, who is able to adopt new technology with ease.
Must have self-confidence, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to integrate seamlessly with other IT professionals.
Must have a major bias towards achieving total internal customer satisfaction.
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members.
Healthcare industry experience is a big plus!
Day to Day job Duties:
Receive the list of patch schedules from Magellan SPOC on a weekly basis.
Work with Healthcare client teams to deploy patches on Windows servers
Follow client?s defined process for patching
Trouble shoot patch failures including coordination with client teams to ensure patch updation is successful
Update the master tracking list for the number of patches completed
Responsible for managing a variety of operating systems, tools, processes and technologies including - Microsoft, Office 365 and Windows10, Exchange and Outlook, Systems patching, Computer and software asset and license tracking, Incident management ticketing system (e.g., JIRA), monitoring, etc.
Nice to Have; (But not a must)
MCSE, MCSA or any relevant Windows Server Certifications

System Centre Configuration Management (SCCM)

Active Directory Configuration and management
