Summary: In this role, you will use your software development skills to design, develop, debug, and deploy Enterprise Java-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, back-end database structures, and web-based user interface components.




These activities require solid knowledge of the Java programming language, (experience with CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React), solid experience with Enterprise Java technologies - JPA, Spring, Linux, Web Applications (Spring Boot), Git, Software Design Patterns, and core knowledge of SQL.

Other Technologies/Frameworks experience may be helpful: Hibernate, REST, Micro Services, Junit, Docker, JSON, Oracle, Postgres, Jira, Confluence, Ant, Maven, JUnit, Test-driven

development, agile, Tomcat, Eclipse

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Utilizing a Test-driven and Agile SDLC development approach and methodology (standups, estimation, iterative development CI, demos, retrospectives), build web-based user interface applications and back-end databases using Enterprise Java technologies, SQL, and various scripting languages.


• Gather feedback from design and technical staff on software application development needs.


• Create prototypes and fine-tune functional specifications.


• Creates the front-end user interface for web-based applications using React and other cutting-edge web technologies.


• Meet with design and technical staff on specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines. Assist in project planning and application design.


• Participate in scrum/project team-related activities& code reviews.


• Work with version control complexities including multiple concurrent branches, and multi-branch merges.


• Perform unit and integration testing in a deployment environment to verify the delivered implementation meets the given requirements.


• Provide support for implementations to Business Analysts and Technical Support.


• Provide testing support to QA during functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.


• This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a mastery of dependency management, i18n, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and risk management.


• Stay abreast of new capabilities offered by open source tools and cloud services to proactively incorporate them within the platform.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B. A.) or equivalent; or 4-6 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of professional hands-on experience in developing high performance and highly scalable (SaaS) enterprise software application in an agile environment. Expertise with Cloud computing, Container technology, and Microservices. Fundamental knowledge of Object-Oriented design, data structures, problem-solving & complexity analysis.
