Mitchell Historic Properties is a privately owned and operated company based in Galveston Island, Texas and part of Mitchell Family Corporation based in The Woodlands, Texas. Mitchell Historic Properties oversees Galveston properties owned by George Mitchell and the Mitchell family, including its commercial and residential properties located downtown. These properties include approximately one-fourth of the buildings in The Strand National Historic Landmark District and Pier 21 along Galveston’s historic harbor.HVAC Technician

As the HVAC Technician you will work on installing, repairing, and servicing industrial, commercial, and residential environmental control systems.Responsibilities:

• Cuts, punches, flange, shears and solders sheet metal ducts and parts.

• Cuts threads and packs pipes.

• Cements insulation in place over finished piping or tubing.

• Passes electrical wire through conduit, splices wire connections, and tapes wire.

• Assembles sheet metal components of prefabricated furnaces.

• Replaces exhausted or defective containers.

• Lubricates fans, motors, and control units.

• Installs air and water filters in completed assembly.

• Furnishes worker with materials, tools and supplies.

• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment.

• Performs other routine duties.Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • 5 years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficient knowledge working on high voltage equipment, controls, RTU’s, AHU’s, compressor motors, cooling towers and pumps.

• Extensive knowledge with troubleshooting and repair of electrical and plumbing as needed.

• Participates as a team player and provides assistance to all team members.

• Ability to work from 8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday and one Saturday every 5 weeks.

• Universal refrigerant license and a valid driver’s license, North American Technician Excellence, Inc. certification required.Benefits:
