The engineer will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sub-Contracts organizations. The engineer will have the opportunity to apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products. Job Description: Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of aerospace product to include structural analysis and dynamic analyses. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Analysis tools utilized include ANSA, ABAQUS, and NASTRAN (or similar finite element analysis pre/post processors). Design tools include CREO and CATIA. The position will report to the program mechanical analysis lead and be responsible for providing stress and dynamics support to the development team.
