Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist – Houston, TX

We are currently seeking candidates for an Accounts Receivable Specialist role who enjoys handling invoices in a timely manner and working with vendors in a positive dialog. This position works with minimal supervision yet must be able to stay on task and complete projects accurately and in a timely manner. These are the exciting things that you get to do:
Contacts customer accounts for collection efforts as assigned by manager
Researches customer disputes including pricing and payment disputes
Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary to update accounts
Performs file maintenance of customer accounts
Prepares and mails monthly customer invoices and statements
Research and process credit agreements
Assist in month end close
Assist with preparation of customer vendor packages
This position requires overtime during critical deadlines – specifically month end close
Perform other duties as assigned
What you bring to the position:
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes and procedures
Working knowledge of Excel
Must be very organized and detail-oriented
Any relevant education and/or training is a plus
Great Plains experience is a plus
