As-Built Surveyor / Drafter
We are looking for experienced As-Built Surveyors to join our team at Precision Property Measurements. Are you a measuring and drafting expert? Do you have experience site-surveying various building types, documenting the existing conditions and creating As-Built plans?

About the Work
At PPM we have a wide variety of projects including extensively detailed plan sets for retail stores and restaurants, simple fixture/display surveys, big box and industrial warehouse locations, offices, hotels, tract and custom residences and everything in between. As a surveyor for PPM you would visit various buildings and provide measurements, drawings, photos, and/or other building information. Every project is different and you will be provided with a detailed scope of work for each project.
Compensation is a flat fee per project with project fees that vary based on size, complexity, location and scope of work. Workload can vary based on your location/coverage area and skill level - we have surveyors working everything from full time to only a few projects a year as they can fit into their normal schedule. Work is primarily centered in the Bay Area but top notch surveyors may have opportunities for travel as well.
About You
You are an expert - you have extensive experience measuring / surveying buildings and creating floor plans, elevations, roof plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), MEP, fixture plans, electrical plans, and sections of various building types.
You are accomplished - you've spent years honing your skills so that you're now providing the highest quality and most accurate plans possible.
You are a perfectionist - getting the job done right and being proud of your work is just the way you are. You pay attention to even the minor details most people would never notice and set high standards for yourself.
You are a team player - you value communication and believe we can accomplish more when working together as a team.
Requirements
Be able to produce plans with better than 1" accuracy for ALL items and overall structure (this does not mean 1" +/- for each measurement)
MUST utilize a high quality laser distance meter for your measurements
Final plans must be in AutoCAD .dwg format and match our supplied layer/drawing standards
Provide your own tools, equipment, software and transportation
Great customer service skills, communication, staying on schedule and organized are vital
Experience with REVIT and/or 3D laser scanning a plus!
This is NOT Land Surveying or design work. You must have experience measuring buildings and producing as-built architectural drawings.
