The Hybris Solutions Architect is responsible for a portfolio of applications and technology within our Digital space. They will design commercially viable solutions and transition plans that lead to a highly flexible, scalable and robust digital landscape. They own setting product strategy, prioritizing features, building consensus, and coordinating product schedules with design and engineering teammates. They are responsible for participating in technical visioning and planning, performing highly technical analyses and studies to develop systems architecture including infrastructure, engineering, and security. The Hybris Solutions Architect helps establish frameworks directing the design and build of technical solutions and provides ongoing technical support and guidance to development teams. Key Responsibilities Provide expertise and design solutions utilizing SAP Hybris Commerce. Implementation best in class solution architecture practices, infrastructure improvements, enterprise integrations. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of business, customer or product requirements into total systems solutions with acknowledgement to information management and technical architecture. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade, and benchmark and interface definition studies to formalize customer requirements into systems architecture specifications. Creates program-level APIs, data models, and interoperable interfaces for specific projects, services, and integration points. Interacts and communicates effectively with internal and external customers and development teams to clarify business, operational, or technical requirements. Defines in written documents non-functional requirements (availability, interoperability, portability, manageability, scalability, maintainability, security, monitoring, SLAs, KPIs, regulatory and legal compliance) based on business vision, best practices, and enterprise architecture direction. Balances a variety of competing goals in a design, including project time, scope and budget constraints, and system performance, message verbosity, and loose coupling. Balances long-term strategy and short-term project goals. Keeps up on industry trends and current technological standards and best practices. Assists with assessment of industry standards for information models and their applicability to Choice. Drives adoption of identified design patterns, standards, principles, and best practices throughout the development organization. Accountable for guiding and modeling the technical implementation of shared artifacts, deployment models, and applications in their entirety-from interfaces, business logic, data, security, and network, and infrastructure. Maintains ongoing communication with project teams, verifying that what was designed was built and adjusting the solution architecture as appropriate throughout the project. Manages and facilitates the agile process to achieve business outcomes, including sprint planning, sprint backlog refinement, daily stand-up, sprint review and sprint retrospective. Builds consensus across stakeholder groups including management and individual contributors. Conceptualizes and articulates alternatives to problem resolution.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. At least 5 years of technical leadership and architecture experience. At least 3 years of practical experience with the full SAP Hybris stack including the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and integration best practices. Strong working experience with Hybris developing/maintaining custom extensions and modules. Prior experience in defining architectures that satisfy security, scalability, high availability, and network management/monitoring requirements. Experience in specifying system performance requirements, network utilization targets, and system resource budgets and creating stable APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). Solid knowledge and experience in the definition of Enterprise (business and technical) Architecture using best practice architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF. TOGAF certification, or related industry certification, is preferred. Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases, and the design of clustered database applications. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture concepts, web services, automated business processes (BPM), event-driven architecture, and BPEL orchestrations. Broad understanding of a spectrum of infrastructure technologies including network, hardware and operating systems. Solid knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN). Advanced knowledge of enterprise application integration and experience with messaging technologies (JMS, Kafka, AMQ). Knowledge of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and cloud technologies. Knowledge of relevant security, regulatory and compliance matters as they relate to system design (PCI, SOX, ESAPI/OWASP, SAML). Strong skills in a broad set of development technologies: Java EE, EJB, JMS, XML, Web Services, XSLT, JavaScript, .NET, mobile, HTML, scripting languages, etc. Strong skills in system modeling (UML) and architectural tradeoff analysis. Strong skills in web application design. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to take ownership of an assignment through to completion and work effectively with people from different departments, companies, and customer organizations. Ability to solve complex problems with multiple complex abstract variables. Ability to communicate technical information in an appropriate manner for widely varied audiences (from senior management to individual contributors on software development teams). Ability to influence business strategic direction in partnership with key decision-makers, and highly technical resources. Analytical and influence capacity and expertise in communicating complicated subject matter with success. Job Title: SAP Hybris Developer Duration: Long term Location: Baton Rouge, LA or Houston, TX Required: 6+ years of experience working with major ecommerce and related technology vendors especially SAP Commerce, CCV2, SAP Commerce Cloud, SOLR, payment gateways. Experience in designing and delivering complex web projects based on Hybris eCommerce platform. Knowledge of incremental changes with last few SAP commerce platform upgrades Significant architecture experience with 4-5 full end-to-end Hybris implementations. Experience managing and delivering key components of large ecommerce engagements. Experience developing detailed technology architecture. Travel up to 50% (while 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Preferred :
Experience with full life-cycle projects from initial scoping through delivery. Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Proven experience delivering mid-size to large ecommerce engagements. Ability to engage and manage senior-level client relationships. Experience managing project risk and project revenues and costs. Working knowledge of the tracking and reporting processes required to keep clients and project teams up-to-date. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other technology-related field.
