Payable is a key role in the management and oversight of Accounts Payable.
We are seeking a motivated and talented professional to be a leader for the AP
team along with the ability to manage the execution of AP functions. This
is a leadership role and will contribute to the strategic objectives, process
improvement, cost savings and effectiveness of the Accounts Payable
environment. Team development is a critical part of this role. You will
be engaged with other Areas along with being an influencer and ensure
compliance with policies and procedures within the AP team.The Manager Accounts Payable is located in Houston, Texas
and reports to the Director, Accounts Payable. Job Summary The Manager Accounts Payable will be responsible for the daily management and
oversight of assigned AP processes, team members and projects. The
individual will take a leadership role in contributing to Accounts Payable
strategic initiatives focusing on continuous improvement, cost savings,
effectiveness of the processes/procedures, and team development. The Manager
Accounts Payable will need to utilize critical thinking, data and analytics to
design and improve processes. This
position reports to the Director, Accounts Payable and will interact directly
with other senior leaders throughout the Company.II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Assist in establishing Accounts
Payable strategic plans, while being an advisor to AP team members to
accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
Demonstrate strategic thinking
in areas of AP methodology, data analytics and process improvement.
Apply AP expertise and critical
thinking skills to assess processes and deliver recommendations aligned
with stakeholder and company goals.
Manage cross-functional teams
that provide internal and external customer service.
Foster effective work
relationships with internal and external customers; partner with Supply
Chain on initiatives to improve our supplier processes.
Proactively communicate with
stakeholders regarding AP matters, ensuring an open and effective culture.

Establish reporting and

Oversee personnel needs of the
department including selecting, coaching and training employees, and
evaluating employee performance. Provide input into termination, compensation,
and promotion decisions.
Organize and schedule all
necessary resources to accomplish activities.

direct or indirect supervision.IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications
necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and
Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
(accredited) in Business Management, Business Administration,
Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar area of
study.
Experience: Eight (8) years of AP
management or equivalent management experience (in addition to education
requirements)
Preferred: Ten (10) or more
years previous experience in a large, high-volume AP Shared Services
environment (in addition to education requirements).

Possesses a strong level of
technical knowledge on AP and control framework.
Experience with managing a
team.
Ability to learn new systems
and operations quickly.
Strong experience and knowledge
on P2P (Procure to Pay) Systems and Support.
Must be self-motivated and
willing to take necessary actions to get the assigned tasks completed.
Ability to apply strong
understanding of risk recognition in financial and operational processes
with solid core analytical and problem-solving skills.
