Ernst & Young LLP’s (EY) Climate Change andSustainability Services (CCaSS) practice is a dynamic, growing and diversifiedbusiness that is seeking qualified and motivated EHS professionals to fulfilland expand our services.

Our US CCaSS practice leverages our deepknowledge and understanding of complex remediation approaches and regulatoryrequirements to provide insights to our internal audit professionals andclients regarding the valuation and completeness of cleanup costs under a varietyof regulatory jurisdictions and geologic settings.

Our CCaSS professionals alsoprovide EHS related advisory services to assist with program or policyintegration or adaptations associated with business combinations anddivestitures.

The Opportunity

Youwill help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reportingon financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting andreporting matters as they related to environmental liabilities and assetretirement obligations.

Your KeyResponsibilities

You will provide exceptional audit and advisory services for ourclients. Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will lookto you first for answers on environmental matters, and your insights andexperience will be called upon to resolve complex issues.

As you build yourknowledge and experience, you will become a credible advisor, influencingclients and engagement teams on continual process improvement.

Skillsand attributes for success

Independently conducting assessments, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on environmental accrual matters during audit engagements

Engaging clients and providing insights on remedial approaches and leading practices

Serving as a mentor to colleagues and other firm professionals on EHS matters

Overseeing engagement economics and managing appropriate resources for efficient engagement models

Use of technology to continually learn, shareknowledge and enhance service delivery

Participation in new client and engagement pursuits,and providing insights on the EHS marketplace

An unwavering commitment to quality,independence and personal and professional integrity

To qualify for the role, you must have

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering,geology or environmental science, supported by 3 to 5 years of work experiencein environmental investigation and remediation

United States citizenship; and must be able toobtain and maintain a public trust clearance or higher

Experience in remediation technologies, includingin-situ technologies for soil and groundwater, landfill management and design and project management.

An understanding of cost estimating procedures regardingsite investigation and remedial matters

A deep understanding of environmentalregulations (CERCLA, RCRA)

Licensure as appropriate for your profession(PE, CPG, EIT, etc.)

Proven project management skills

Ability to travel and engage our audit clientsduring 30% to 50% of the work year

Ideally you will have

Experience in environmental due diligence mattersrelated to business transactions

Industry sector insights in areas such as mining,chemicals or oil and gas.
