Business Development Manager – Field ServicesLocation: TX, Houston (Loop Central)Position Category: Field ServicesRequisition ID: 1124Last Updated: 9/19/19 11:18 AM# of Openings: 1Salary Range:DescriptionThe Business Development Manager for Field Services will work to improve the company’s market position and achieve financial growth within the Inspection, Survey and Construction Management sectors. The expectation of this position is to build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The Business Development Manager for Field Services will work with the Field Services team to understand market constraints and develop creative solutions to overcome those hurdles. This position will also be expected to partner with the corporate business development team, marketing staff, and other managers to maximize field service offerings on all projects.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Principal areas to be developed include, but not limited to Inspection, Survey and Construction Management within the U.S

Demonstrate an understanding of who the major players (clients and competitors) are in each of these areas, the prevailing contracting strategies, local content issues, requirement for local partnering, etc.

Direct and oversee a targeted local expansion.

Develop a clear understanding of complete services offered by UPI.

Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan to meet the company’s growth strategy

Work with and co-operate with the operations team to deliver client focused capabilities and services.

Develop and bring to bear personal networks to facilitate sales growth and contract closure.

Ensure adequate and relevant reporting of market, management and financial information of the sales and marketing functions to ensure that the executive management team remains fully informed and responds to market trends and commercial opportunities.

Promote positive relations with partners, international sales agents and distributors.

Ability to travel as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of field services offerings and overall pipeline construction activities.

Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role.

Ability to prioritize own workload.Must be a self-starter

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of personnel at all levels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business or 10 + years of relevant field experience.

Business Development experience in the oil & gas industry
