job summary:
The client is seeking a high performing and versatile individual to join the Global Security data support team as an AWS engineer. You will join a small team of data professionals to support a global team of over 30 operational security and fraud risk professionals with analytics, infrastructure, storage and automation solutions. You will be responsible for planning and implementing new technologies and solutions in an AWS enterprise environment, as well as managing a small data lake and assisting the data team with creating and maintaining data pipelines. You will also coordinate with security consultants within the enterprise to ensure that each deployment meets the security requirements of the enterprise. You should be capable of working independently to evaluate and recommend AWS based solutions for a diverse set of challenges as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will also be expected to recommend improvements to the development process based on industry best practices and leveraged experience and will have an integral role in driving digital transformation and a data driven culture in the group.

Requirements:
- 3+ Years of experience providing AWS based solutions
- Experience onboarding new technologies onto an AWS enterprise environment
- Experience configuring and deploying cloud based computing instances on AWS
- Experience using Git, JIRA and other common dev-ops tools
- Experience with Redshift, S3, and other AWS data storage technologies
- Basic proficiency in SQL coding language
- Proficiency in Python, JS, other object-oriented scripting languages
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases including Postgres
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS or other relevant STEM related degree
The ideal candidate will possess some of the following:
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or similar certification
- Experience with the Dataiku data analytics utility/platform
- Development experience using Agile work methodologies
- Experience utilizing Windows Power Automate for task automation
- Some analytics experience using PowerBI, Tableau, R, Python or similar
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, MIS or other relevant STEM related degree
