Job Description:

Bank of America is seeking a Technologist/Analyst in the FICC Technology Team. Bank of America's FICC Technology Team supports the business goals of the Global FICC businesses for all technology delivery. The team has a direct development and support responsibility for business systems and an overall end-to-end remit for systems implementation across the FICC LOB's. Candidates must be highly motivated with a track record of success in a global financial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in application development and quality assurance testing. The candidate will have exceptional analysis and troubleshooting skills focusing on environment availability, production stability, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Preference will be given to those who possess development experience in Python.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. Communicates the work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. Ensures execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery - e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Supports resource planning for delivery/execution. Individual Contributor.

Essential Skill Requirements:

• Experience in Quality Assurance Testing and Batch processing.

• Working in a Global Team environment and managing the workload for the global team.

• Candidate must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills in a high-pressure environment. • Solid knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments, and testing tools.

• Proven record with driving continuous improvements in processes and tooling • Experience in 3rd line production support.

• Knowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continuous integration

• Comfortable in communicating with technology and business users

Required Skills
• Experience working in a front office trading platform development team.

• Experience working with global development teams

• Experience with Python data analysis packages.

• Experience with Python performance tuning.

• Exceptional development knowledge in Python on Linux/UNIX.

Desired Skills

Experience in Financial industry environment.

Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant analytical experience
