Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. Applicants should also have demonstrated familiarity with helping businesses transform their IT approach for example though transition to a consolidated and more agile technology architecture, application modernization and rationalization, or exploitation of data.This global team of Solution Architects is an integral part of the Sales team and have a single focus on positioning Oracle s FSGBU Solutions at the heart of the largest transformation projects across Financial Services. Common customer opportunities and projects will include but are not limited to Enterprise Information or Data transformations including Big Data Initiatives, and Finance/Performance, Risk, Treasury and Customer Analytics Initiatives, usually spanning multiple analytics domains.The Solution Architects bridge the gap between business and technology speaking the languages of both business and technology to convey solution value to C-level individuals. They combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.Ideal Candidates will be seasoned senior level professionals who not only possess deep experience within Banking or Insurance but also significant experience in technology transformation.This role is based in the North American marketplace, but is part of a global team. Candidates would ideally be located in or close to one of North America s major financial services centers such as New York, San Francisco, Charlotte or Toronto.Responsibilities:Contribute to and drive largest Oracle deals in the Financial Services Global Business Unit (FSGBU) globally as directed by regional sales heads and presales / solution leaders with rigorous sales focus.Work in collaboration with local account teams (X-stack hardware, technology and applications) from across Oracle and Global Client AdvisorsExercise creativity, independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-standard and highly complex business solutions utilizing FSGBU and broader Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.Interact with all roles at customer including CFO, CIO, CTO, Controller, IT Architects, technical staff and Line of Business representativesArticulate case for changeLead detailed discovery analysisConduct repeatable workshops strategy, architecture, roadmap and planningProvide assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architectureIdentify and evangelize key business and technology benefits of adoptionProvide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick winsAdvise on organizational impact of solutionsRemain fully aware of relevant architectural programs and assets from Oracle worldwideRemain aware of all relevant product developments and references both at Oracle and at competitorsPreferred Skills & Qualifications:Wide background in Financial Services including expertise in FP&A, Capital Management, Risk Management or Regulatory CompliancePreferred candidates will also have direct understanding of systems architecture, or implementation and delivery of largescale software systems within Financial ServicesStrong understanding and interest in IT market and technology trendsMinimum 5 years experience in Banking or InsuranceExpert communication skills including significant SVP/C-level presentation experienceProven ability to solve complex problems operating individually and as part of a teamHistory of advising on and participating in strategic IT projects preferredStrong work ethic and ability to self-motivate are essentialSpecific knowledge of Oracle database and middleware technology, Oracle FSGBO offerings, or OFSAA applications is an advantageFlexibility to travel regularly across North America, and globally on occasionDetailed Description and Job RequirementsProvides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client s business.
