Formulate strategies for enhancing business opportunities within the oil and gas sector related to UPI's EPCM and Field Services solutions. Build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Work with the internal Operations team, marketing/proposal staff, and other stakeholders to increase sales opportunities, and maximize revenue and project margin. Help manage existing client expectations to ensure they are satisfied, setting UPI up for future opportunities.Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Principal areas to be developed include, but not limited to agree upon strategical, targeted regions.

Ability to demonstrate an understanding of who the major players (clients and competitors) are in each of these areas, as well as the prevailing contracting strategies.

Direct and oversee a targeted client relationship expansion. In-line with the UPI growth strategy, plan and set-up a business development plan in conjunction with the business development and operations management teams.

Develop, manage and implement account specific sales and marketing plans that support UPI's corporate growth strategy.

Ensure adequate and relevant reporting of market conditions, client activities (projects and initiatives) and industry trends to ensure that the executive management team remains fully informed and responds effectively to market trends and commercial opportunities.

Develop a clear understanding of complete services offered by UPI.

Actively support inside sales and proposal team in the development and preparation of client focused, value driven win strategies and proposal responses.

Plan and implement value creation, with targeted, customer acquisition and retention programs while ensuring that the customer receives a high level of service quality

Work with and co-operate with the operations team to deliver client focused capabilities and services.

Develop and bring to bear personal networks to facilitate sales growth and contract closure.

Promote positive relations with internal operations, as well as fellow BD colleagues and partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of upstream & midstream project execution (EPCM) within the oil and gas industry.

Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role

Ability to prioritize own workload and must be a self-starter

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of personnel at all levels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business. Ten or more years of relevant engineering or oil and gas industry experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education

Extensive business development experience required.

Strong knowledge of the Oil and Gas Market –engineering experience is preferred.
