Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.The primary purpose of this position is to provide highly responsible, administrative and operations support to the Biologics Product Development team within the Therapeutics Discovery Division.Essential Functions:Project Oversight Support planning and coordination of platform programs and its activitiesCollects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; Maintains program/project records and statistical information.Maintains budget and track expenditures/transactionsEnsure implementation of policies and practicesManage communications with other departments and external partiesEnsure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations etc.)Assists in executing legal agreement including CDA and MSA for the platformMay perform specialized activities of a programmatic nature in direct support of the platform objectives.Will be responsible for end-to-end coordination and oversight of projects such as Cell therapy manufacturing facility design. Pull together scope of work from end users. Send to consultants to assemble into proposal. Coordinate and execute all activities required to bring that consultant into the MDA system (CDA, EAJ, PO, etc). Coordinate meetings between end user and consultant, setting agenda, assigning actions and then following up on those. Will be accountable for project delivering on time and on budget with limited supervisory oversight.Administrative Duties Provides administrative support to the VP & Head of the Biologics Prod Development group and his staff.Serves as administrative liaison between central administration and the platform scientistsCoordinates project planning activities including laboratory meetings, executive and core leader meetings, program conferences, and other ad hoc meetings or events as necessary.Support HR with candidate interviews set upResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Securing room reservations and ensuring proper room set-up/break-downOrdering and confirming cateringEnsuring speaker confirmationSending meeting invitationsCreating/sending agendasAttend and take meeting minutes as neededPhysical Asset and Space Administration:Manages platform's physical resources including space management and inventory control.Plans physical resources needs and manages renovation and relocation projects as required.Serves as property officer for the platform ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.Works with Facilities to coordinate space utilizations (responsible for FAR submissions and other facilities requests)Develops and implements mechanisms to ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard institutional resources.EducationRequired: Bachelor's degree.Preferred: Master's degree.ExperienceRequired: Five years of related program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.Preferred: Experience supporting large teams in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment. Must have expertise with calendar management, MS Office, graphic software and PeopleSoft database.Additional Information
