$10 / hourReach Pediatric Therapy, part of the Aveanna family of companies, provides a variety of therapy services that often serve as a critical component in the plan of care for children with injuries, disabilities, or developmental delays. We serve children across the states of Texas, Virginia, North Carolina and Colorado!Reach Pediatric Therapy is a hiring a compassionate Rehab Technician to assist our Therapists with patient related care and provide clinical support services including maintaining treatment areas, therapy equipment and clerical support. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respect patients' right to privacy and confidentiality.
Manage time effectively to complete all duties assigned.
Perform therapy related clerical duties such as filing, organizing, payroll assistance and copying assigned paperwork under direction of therapist or supervisor.
Assist therapists during treatment sessions including but not limited to: setting up the treatment area, cleaning treatment area before and after treatment, bringing patient’s from the waiting room to treatment rooms, assisting therapist by holding toys, assisting in aquatic therapy and assisting with patient transfers.
Clean and maintain toys and equipment used for treatment.
Complete equipment checklists for equipment monitoring and required facility logs for equipment.
Report unsafe toys or other hazards, equipment in disrepair, problems in functioning in the clinic to supervisor.
Stock supplies in all therapy rooms and maintain storage areas.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Pass a criminal background check with no felony's or abuse related convictions
High school graduate (or equivalent) preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Detail oriented and good organization skills
Experience as a Therapy Technician preferred
Current negative PPD test, chest x-ray or complete the TB questionnaire
Current CPR certification and First aid preferred
Able to lift 40 pounds. Able to crawl on the floor, work on knees or while sitting on the floor, kneel, squat, and reach overhead
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other staff.
