Key FunctionsConducts Research Experiments and Projects
Conduct research projects with supervision; may include procurement and processing blood, isolating DNA/RNA, PCR/QPCR., perform biospecimen assays.
Discuss project stages and present findings in lab meetings.
Prepare final reports and submit to PI for publications, grants or protocols.
Show willingness to learn and help others implement new techniques.
Operates Laboratory Apparatus and Equipment
Learns equipment and relevant software needed to carry out experiments.
Data Gathering and Analysis
Use computer software efficiently for accurate data acquisition, analysis, reporting and presentation.
Accurately records and evaluates data in accordance with methods requested.
Maintain inventories, keeping precise, timely and accurate records.
