Lead and manage the expansion of NRG finance architecture aligned with NRG business growth initiatives. Be a thought leader and drive architecture standards. 30%
Develop IT systems strategy and support procedures, systems requirements, design, prototyping, analysis and implementing technology-enabled business solutions for NRG Finance department.
Conduct requirement gathering workshops and fit-gap analysis. Map and analyze business processes with SAP 15%
Lead a team in the design and development of technical objects (RICEFW), UI5, Fiori, HANA, CDS using Advance Business Application Programming (ABAP), S/4 HANA Configuration for Finance Module, as well as support the existing application 30%
Provide support for all phases of SAP projects including mentoring junior team members 15%
Work with an engagement team to develop complex analytical solutions that meet the needs of our business in new and innovative ways and resolve pressing issues. 10%
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Review business requirements and existing system architecture to identify gaps, streamline the platform and associated integrated applications, and evaluate technology needs
Work with business leaders and apply functional knowledge to technical solutions using SAP tools, systems and processes including accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, lease accounting, and treasury.
Productively partner with finance and IT leader to rationalize financial process objectives in conjunction with capabilities of the SAP solution.
Ability to provide perspective on design options/challenges to both optimize use of new SAP S/4 Hana technology and deliberate and corroborate (or dispute) recommendations made by 3rd parties including systems implementation partner and software vendors, ensuring resolution in NRGs best interest.
Work as part of core architecture team and design loosely coupled application and solutions. Set up governance model for reviewing proposed solutions.
Uses formal system implementation methodologies (waterfall, agile) during project preparation, requirements gathering, design, build/test and deployment phases.
Developing to-be system architecture diagrams and data flows to fulfill business requirements.
Develop rapid prototypes to demonstrate the strengths of the SAP S/4 HANA functionality and meet business requirements associated with M&A, projects and enhancements.
Prepare and socialize the use of a robust change management process to handle changes to scope and time of the solution.
Manage any escalations and ensure timely resolution of technical team issues and defects.
Large program implementation experience, skills, and leadership presence including end-to-end delivery experience of similar SAP finance transformation programs.
Experience with SAP best practices, business processes and global templates and configuring these best practices
Experience utilizing SAP Solution Manager for process configuration and documentation.
Work with business, consultants and employs (be hands on) in building SAP S/4 Hana solutions.
Work as single POC for RICEFW, Fiori/UI5 development activities in different SAP modules like SAP, Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), Material Management (MM), and Work Management (WM) as per business requirement.
Knowledgeable of S/4 Finance integration touch points with SCM, HR and WM both from a process as well customization standpoint.
Excellent Team building and leading skills to success of building IT recommended solutions with good interpersonal and presentation skills
Working Conditions
Open office environment.
Duties are performed during standard business hours, but work outside normal business hours may be necessary based on project or requirements.
Minimal travel to Princeton office for financial quarterly/year end close activities or any new project reequipment gathering
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor s degree in engineering in an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
Minimum seven to ten years of experience as technical consultant in ABAP Programming and a minimum of three to five years of experience with SAP FICO functional as functional consultant
Experience with SAP S/4HANA FI and CO Business Applications including New G/L, Asset Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting
Experience in designing and building virtual data model to support big data analytics
Experience of IMG activities to map business requirement with global templates and best practices in S/4 HANA 1809 system configuration and identify the gaps and needs for Custom development
Enhance standard SAP product to bridge the gap technically to meet business requirement using Enhancement Frame work, User Exit, Customer Exit, Business Add In s (BADI), Business Transaction events (BTE), VOFM routines
Experience in Integration of different systems across business landscape using interfacing technologies like ALE IDOC s, PI/PO, Unix commands using SMTP, FTP, BAPI s, Remote function call (RFC)
Using conversion technologies like Batch data communication (BDC), BAPI s, BODS to convert the data and load in to SAP system
Use of ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) for finding out critical issues in code and fix to optimize it as per standard SAP HANA guidelines
Support testing activities, including performing integration and user testing using tools like HP Quality Center (HPQC), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), JIRA
Writing unit test scripts for cross-functional object development using SAP ABAP for modules including Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), Material Management (MM), and Work Management (WM)
Identify root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.
Past experience with successful S/4 Hana implementations
Experience working in an energy industry with a thorough understanding of end to end electricity wholesale and retail businesses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with integration to Oracle financial systems like HFM/EPBCS for consolidation
Experience with integration to Oracle financial systems like FCCS for reporting
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) and ARIBA CIG is an added advantage
Knowledge in FIORI architecture and system landscape is an added advantage
Excellent verbal and written skills to work directly as a business partner with the Finance Team
Excellent solutioning and presentation skills needed to work with Senior management of the company
