Summary :
The Senior Accountant position is responsible for interstate gas external financial reporting to the FERC, our joint venture partners and noteholders.
The position prepares GAAP financial statements in accordance with the accounting requirements of the FERC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Prepare annual FERC Form 2 and quarterly FERC Form 3Q reports for interstate gas companies.
Prepare GAAP financial statements for interstate gas joint ventures and noteholders.
Perform debt covenant analysis.
Interact with external auditors on annual audits of FERC Form 2 and GAAP financial statements.
Other projects assigned as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

MS Excel and Word proficient.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level :
The Specialist / Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
The Senior Specialist / Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead Specialist / Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Preferred Qualifications :
SAP and BPC software experience.
CPA preferred.
Working Conditions :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Occasional visits to industrial / manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
