JOB SUMMARY The D365 Senior Business Analyst will work closely with both internal and external departmental representatives to configure, test, train and implement functionalities of D365 to improve business operations. Must have thorough understanding of business/departmental operations and how the AX/D365 work. Will work on integrations between Microsoft Field Services and Finance & Operations; Examine business processes, conduct feasibility studies, make software recommendations and assist with implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus expertise in core Microsoft ERP systems (Primary - Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations; Secondary AX 2012/2009)
  • Support of Supply Chain, Production, and Operations systems and processes
  • Recommend and setup suitable configurations for master planning, forecasting and item configuration for effective material management
  • Support advanced warehousing functionalities for work template creation, label printing and inventory movement
  • Resolve day to day issues with production releases, material consumption and sales order picking & shipping processes
  • Backup support of Microsoft Field Services
  • Analyze current business processes and assists users in making best use of systems
  • Work with other members of the business systems team to help evaluate data and processes, trouble-shoot systems and incorporate solutions as required
  • Manage the implementation of the software and processes within a particular module/business area
  • Discuss business requirements with managers and users
  • Identify information needs not currently met by existing software or systems
  • Develop strategies to improve timeliness of information and overall efficiency
  • Assess the cost/benefit of recommended process changes
  • Implement business and software solutions
  • Follow up with managers and users to ensure compliance with new procedures and effectiveness of new system
  • Perform post-implementation review
  • Accountable for quality, completeness, and on-time delivery of an assigned project


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Post-secondary education with a Computer Sciences or Business Degree
  • At least 5 years related experience in Microsoft AX2009/AX2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
  • Good understanding of existing software
  • Strong business understanding in the area of specialization (manufacturing systems and processes, supply chain and distribution areas, and the services / operations area of the organization)
  • Ability to analyze troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions

They assist with the development, utilization, and enhancement of IT Service Management standards and best practices for the institution, including incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management, service catalog, asset management, and CMDB (configuration management database).
