REMOTE Opportunity (with travel after COVID)REPORTS TO PRESIDENT (until a CIO is hired): The Technical Team Leader role will drive backend development of and work closely with Sr. Java Developer, DevOps resources and UX EngineerResponsibilities

  • Leading development effort for cloud based, multi-tenant, SaaS application.
  • Determining product requirements in collaboration with product owner and project manager.
  • Delivering scalable, production ready software solutions.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to determine priorities, understand requirements and explain tradeoffs.
  • Participate agile meetings (standups, sprint planning, retros, etc.)
  • Implementing and encouraging software development best practices.
  • Advocate and improve technical product quality.
Expected success factors:
  • 6+ years of experience in software development
  • Education in Computer Science or other related fields
  • Extensive full-stack development experience with multi-tiered, distributed applications
  • Experience designing data models with RDMS (Postgres preferred).
  • Experience with Java Spring Framework
  • Experience building RESTful APIs for web applications
  • Experience working with modern front-end PWA technologies (Vue experience highly preferred)
  • Docker, AWS (ECS, RDS, CDK, etc.) experience highly preferred
  • Experience building ETL jobs (batch and streaming)
Nice to have:
  • Python experience
  • Healthcare experience
