SWE Homes, a Real Estate Investment Company with a 37-year proven track record of growth and success in the Real Estate industry, is currently seeking a Foreclosure Paralegal. The perfect candidate for this challenging and heavily-administrative position is a professional with outstanding analytical, research and problem solving skills along with the requisite legalese, who has knowledge and experience working with matters related to Real Estate transactional law including owner-financing and related laws.
Foreclosure Paralegal will:
Conduct research and due diligence relating to sales/purchase transactions of real estate, including title and lien search to determine ownership and lien status of properties, etc.
Review various deeds/trusts, closing documents, title insurance, loan servicing agreements/documents/contracts, etc.
Examine and interpret legal documents including loan documents and contracts, bankruptcy plans and pleadings, etc.
Conduct special research and tackle legal or other special projects as needed to efficiently resolve business or legal issues
Prepare legal documents including liens, release of lien, pleadings, petitions, memoranda and correspondence
Conduct deed records research and title searches
Requirements/Qualifications:
Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of relative experience or a combination of experience and education
Familiarity with foreclosure and bankruptcy law, real estate and/or property law, contract language, closings, title and lien search, and deeds/trusts; prepare foreclosure postings
Excellent verbal, written communication, and grammar, spelling and proofreading skills
Superb analytical, problem solving, organizational and research skills
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. with a fast production speed
High level of personal integrity and business ethics and ability to successfully pass an extensive background check
Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus but is not required
