In-House T-Shirt Artist Position
âªA screen printing company, in business for 12 years, is seeking a versatile; talented; and energetic Artist to join our small team of experts.â¬
Successful candidates will have a passion for quality, be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and have an original and creative flair for graphic design, typography, and illustration for apparel. Customer service experience is a must.
Our ideal candidate will:
⢠Understand the technical aspect of screen printing apparel, and/or embroidery processes
⢠Use Corel and Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. -- for MAC), expertly
⢠Be adaptable to designing in multiple styles to appeal to a large and varied customer base
⢠Assist with the mechanical preparation of supplied art
⢠Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
⢠Color matching and separate colors for film output
⢠Be flexible and open to feedback in the interest of better outcomes
⢠Organize and file film.
⢠Speak with clients on a regular basis
⢠Show enthusiasm with a positive attitude and a sense of humor!

QUALIFICATIONS
⢠3 to 5 years, production experience in the screen printing industry is preferred.
⢠Candidate must be very proficient using Corel, and Adobe Illustrator Suite.
⢠The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with emphases in computer design; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fast-paced, high quality, screen printing company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
