Graphic Designer/ CSR / Bindery
North Houston printing company has an opening for an experienced printing professional. Attention to detail and quality is required as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a "can-do" attitude.
Applicants must
be proficient with 2019 Adobe products and understand how to set up files for print production
be creative
have strong problem-solving skills
have their own transportation
be dependable
be able to work overtime if necessary
have a positive can do attitude
The ideal candidate will
have great organizational skills
have excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task
have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, Power Point and Excel
have digital printing experience including Command Workstation
have large format digital printing experience
have excellent written and verbal communication skills
have PrintSmith estimating software experience
be able to follow the directions on the work order and produce the job as per specifications
adhere to company policy for file naming procedure
be able to work independently and as part of a team
have bindery experience including cutting, drilling, padding, laminating, mounting, collating, stitching and packaging
have shipping and receiving experience
type 50 WPM or faster
Job duties include
maintain an orderly work area
graphic design and typesetting for print production
assisting and consulting with clients about their projects
interact with co-workers to achieve customer satisfaction at optimum production level
answering telephones
cashier and front counter customer service
digital printing
creating invoices and estimates on PrintSmith software
place orders with vendors
filing
shipping and receiving
assist in the production area as needed
perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned
