Shipping assistant for a manufacturer in Tomball, Texas for an Entry Level position. This is a terrific role for someone who likes to work with their hands and perform repetitive tasks.
This is an entry level position but the basic Requirements for this position are:
High school diploma or equivalent
Willing to take a drug test in accordance with local law/regulations.
Packaging and Labeling- Prepare items for shipment by packing them and labeling them correctly to ensure safe delivery
Physical Stamina- Capability to lift packages and preform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience is a plus but not required such as:
Forklift
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous experience in shipping, receiving or logistics is preferred
The Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position are:
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
Performs required measurements using a tape measure, or other measuring devices
Performs all necessary adjustments to produce quality products.
Maintains equipment and a clean work area
Sort, transfer and stack on pallets containers of finished products.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close-up vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The environment is a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, solvents, vapors, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
Requires frequent bending, standing, and walking throughout shift.
Must be able to push, lift and pull up to 50 lbs. repetitively during shift.
Requires standing and walking 100% of shift on a concrete floor.
