JOB SUMMARY The Cloud Infrastructure Architect leads and supports technical teams to architect, build, and deploy cloud solutions across public, private and hybrid cloud environments to support enterprise organization. Cloud Infrastructure Architects are responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s infrastructure, cloud services, network, and infrastructure security. Architects will work closely with other cloud teams, project managers, engineers, and other functions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models for the client to host test, development, and production environments
Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to the client’s technical and business requirements
Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management
Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc.
Plan and develop support processes that adhere to best practices (ITIL)
Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance
Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
REQUIREMENTS:
15 + years of experience in managing enterprise scale infrastructures across broad technology disciplines such as Compute, Storage and Networking verticals, Cloud computing
5+ years of experience in managing technology teams supporting complex infrastructures
3+ years working with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) in an enterprise environment
Experience with designing, implementing, or operating IT systems on leading enterprise platforms
Knowledge of Enterprise Application ( EA ) principles and methodologies
Experience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction
Possess any additional certifications (one or more) for the design/development of distributed solutions on a leading infrastructure platform
Must be able to demonstrate leadership of infrastructure change and transformation programs
Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles
Understanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies
Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills with a results-oriented mindset
Strong strategic planning discipline, with experience building and communicating business cases for technology change
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both business and IT stakeholders and leaders, as well as related IT project and operations teams
Knowledge of varying architecture methodologies, with demonstrated ability to select and apply the appropriate method to the problem at-hand.
Grasp of current and emerging technologies and trends, with ability to rapidly assess and apply new and emerging technologies
