We are looking for a licensed, skilled, and reliable Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The right candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in heavy-duty towing and recovery, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle challenging recovery situations with professionalism and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and flatbeds to tow or recover disabled vehicles, trucks, and equipment
Respond to accident scenes, breakdowns, and roadside emergencies promptly and professionally
Perform complex recoveries, winching and equipment transport as needed
Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times
Create and complete TowBook tickets, reports, and job documentation accurately
Communicate clearly with dispatch, law enforcement, and customers
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment
Maintain trucks, tools, and rigging gear in safe working condition
Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
Be available for on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Requirements:
Valid CDL License with Hazmat endorsement (WreckMaster, TRAA, or equivalent certification preferred)
Know to how operate a manual (18 speed) 50 ton heavy duty
Clean driving record
No criminal history
Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty towing experience
Knowledge of DOT regulations, roadside safety, and recovery techniques
Must pass drug/alcohol screening and background check
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends
Mechanical knowledge of trucks and equipment
