For more information about Celanese and our products please visit www.celanese.com Oversight of delivery and logistics activities for ocean liner and air, ensuring on time shipment from the plants and on time delivery to the customer. Escalation point for operational issues, transportation delays, equipment challenges or other issues that may impact on time delivery to the customer. This position will lead a team of 9 Celanese employees and 2 onsite service providers. There will be direct interface with Customer Service, internal partners, and service providers to meet productivity and quality metrics thereby ensuring a seamless order-to-deliver process resulting in excellent customer experience. The International Logistics Team Lead will oversee all aspects of the Import/Export Operations for The Americas regions. Manage a team of 9 Export Coordinates who oversee all load, shipment and traffic processes with local plant, warehouse personnel, dray carriers and freight forwarder.

Work with planning and scheduling teams to resolve d material availability issues.

Ensure adherence to all SOP’s and controls related to Safety and Compliance; including trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation and logistics regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, Dangerous Goods regulations, Responsible Care and ISO 9000.

Resolve escalations by fellow team leader, regional experts and plant personnel to resolve unforeseen delays that may result in a late delivery to customer.

Manage exceptions and emergency situations.

Monitor metrics defined for on-time shipping and on-time delivery to ensure our carriers and service providers are performing within their assigned KPIs.

Provide a root cause analysis and corrective action plan for those falling outside of the allowable tolerances.

Assist with the investigation of quality failures and the development of preventive and corrective actions to prevent future re-occurrences. Execute SAP quality notification transactions for all process failures to align with quality assurance expectations.

Oversee returns including SOX physical and non-physical returns.

Assist in contingency planning (e.g., power outage, SAP outage) and special incidents (hurricane and inclement weather preparation, plant outage).

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an International Logistics Coordinator or related function.

Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding experience is preferred.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Full understanding of 2020 Incoterms

SAP knowledge is preferred
