You will deliver breakthrough business outcomes for clients—by harnessing talent, data and intelligence to revolutionize their operating models.Operations is one of four services that make up one Accenture –the others are Strategy and Consulting, Interactive and Technology.The Supply Chain Advisory Specialist is responsible for the following:Key ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, recommends, and implements operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of processes

Provides ongoing visibility into transportation movements and performance

Reviews and ensures all shipments have been successfully planned and successfully delivered

Manages tendering and execution of transportation loads

Monitors status updates from carriers in transit, appointment, delivered etc. and proactively communicate and resolve transportation exceptions

Provides customer service to clients and vendors during transportation planning and execution

Liaise with Continuous Improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements

Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Operations Management

Minimum 5 years of Transportation experience

Minimum 5 years of Logistics/Transportation Management such as inbound and outbound logistics, dispatches, depot management, or freight fleet management

Preferred QualificationsExperience with Oracle Transportation Manager or a top tier TMS Transportation Management System

Solid understanding of the core functionality required of systems to manage the flow of information through TMS Logistics operations i.e. Transportation Management, Load Building Optimization, Oracle, Carrier Management and EDI

Deep understanding of equipment types, rates and loading shipping constraints

Experience in routing, scheduling consolidation of loads, back haul operations

Understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies

Ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships

Professional level capability in use of desktop software MS Office Suite, with focus on analytical skills in Excel and Access
