Here's what you'll do:

• Technically lead multiple Scrum/Kanban teams focused on specific parts of our platform (a "tribe")

• Design systems to meet product requirements, as well as security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability requirements

• Participate in design discussions about new features and approaches to implementing new services and collaborate cross-functionally to analyze, engineer, and implement end-to-end solutions

• Create architecture, designs, and documentation that will lead to consistent reliability, scalability, security, and performance of the system as a whole

• Coach and guide cross-functional teams through technical tasks and work with product managers to understand feature requirements

• Plan short-term efforts as well as map out the technology strategy and roadmap for the teams you'll be responsible for

• Maintain technical and working knowledge of systems to act as subject matter expert

Here's what you'll need:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated qualitative and quantitative skill set analyzing complex issues and designing appropriate solutions

• Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-moving environment

• Experience managing or leading engineering projects or teams

• Excellent communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate with audiences across a range of technical knowledge

• Software development experience in JavaScript, Golang, Java, C, Python, or similar

• Familiarity with Cloud-based architectures and managed services (AWS knowledge is a plus)

• Ability to manage broad workload and accommodate change, adapting as needed

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline

• 5+ years of Software Engineering, Software Architecture, or related technical experience

This position can earn between $115,600 - $231,100. Not to mention all of the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers.
