Apex Systems is actively looking for IT Field Support Technicians to assist on a nationwide hardware refresh project for the US Navy. Candidates must be US Citizens and able to maintain and/or obtain a DOD Secret Clearance as a condition of employment. Candidates also need to have a valid CE CompTIA A+, Net+, or Security+ certification. This is a 100% travel based opportunity.

Position: Travel Technician
Project kick off is mid July
Requirements:
All contractors must have a fully adjudicated Secret Clearance to support the US Naval Bases.
Contractors must also be DOD 8570 Compliant by holding an active CompTIA CE A+, Network+, or Security+ Certification.
Responsibilities
In this role, one would travel nationwide to Naval Bases to provide IT support for a special project. Each bases scope of work will vary, but will be related to: hardware refreshes; data migration; work station deployments; hard drive scanning, tracking and replacement; memory drive upgrades, machine refreshes, and user data backups.
Hours & Scheduling:
This is an hours worked, hours paid contract. There is no PTO included in the role.
Hours will vary each week based on the deployment.
Contractors can expect to see 30-40+ hours/week and consistent scheduling.
Project kick off is mid-July and is anticipated to go through the end of December.
Travel:
Travel logistics will vary based on your deployment location in relation to your home location. Apex will cover all major travel expenses up front and contractors will be reimbursed for incidentals based on the deployment.
