Melton Truck Lines is looking for a Tire Technician in Laredo, TX.

Job Description:

Performs tire repair work on trucks and trailers, including mounting and dismounting,

balancing, patching, and inspecting tires. TIA-CTS certification or training preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

❖ Performs general tire repair, as well as, changing and balancing duties

❖ Ensure good productivity, housekeeping, safety compliance, and driver relations

❖ Attends training sessions and safety meetings

❖ Ensures paperwork is accurately completed to document the work performed on

  company trucks and trailers

❖ Follows safety practices and shop regulations

❖ Inspects trucks and trailers according to Melton and DOT requirements

❖ Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

❖ Two years tire technician or diesel mechanic experience. TIA-CYS certification much preferred

❖ High School Diploma

❖ Must have working knowledge of basic computer programs

❖ CDL preferred but not required

❖ Physical requirements include:

  ❖ Near & midrange vision

  ❖ Hearing

  ❖ Ability to work alone and under stress

  ❖ Walking, bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, twisting, and reaching

  ❖ Lifting 100 pounds or more, sometimes shoulder height and above

  ❖ Using hands, wrist, elbows, and shoulders for repetitive motion tasks

  ❖ Ability to work in seasonal heat and cold, amidst noise and dust
