In role, product managers proactively remove roadblocks and can handle multiple competing priorities. You need to be a positive influencer across diverse teams, effectively rally support for your initiatives, and help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your product goals. You will be responsible for handling business escalations with a customer-driven, data-informed approach to build trust with engineers and senior leaders.This role has remote options as well as the option to work from the Redmond, WA campus.ResponsibilitiesBring your technical aptitude, eagerness to solve interesting and challenging problems, and ability to build compelling product roadmaps to:Engage directly with internal and external customers, and partners to deeplyunderstand unmet product needs

Lead with hypothesis-driven product development methods and data-driven decision making,

Formulate value proposition, outcomes, and key metrics that define and generate excitement around your plans and allow you to measure success

Translate the big picture into detailed and effective technical designs that strengthen the broader Microsoft security and compliance strategy

Bring a positive, motivational tone and energy to the team and partner conversations

Communicate clearly and effectively about your plans and status to internal partners, engineering teams, senior leaders and executives, and external customers.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications5+ years of product management experience

Proven ability to drive large-scale product initiatives requiring cross-organization collaboration and leadership

Experience with customer-centric and data-driven designs and customer validation, including experience gathering requirements from customers and the ability to derive insights from a variety of data sets

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

Self-motivated and self-directed

Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis, and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or relevant industry experience and certifications

Preferred QualificationsHave technical knowledge about at least one security concept, such as data protection, authentication, or encryption.

Have domain knowledge about enterprise security or compliance needs

Have product management experience in end-user facing software

Have experience influencing a highly technical team

Have experience generating automated metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency

Have experience delivering a product to market with dependencies across large, diverse organizations

Are comfortable designing and owning a product roadmap

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $138,200 and $206,800 maximum for the level posted at.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
