This will start as a contract to hire opportunity and it will be an immediate start.
Growing Healthcare Operations organization is looking for a reliable and eager Sr. Systems Administrator that has experience working in a Data Center environment.

The Sr. System Administrator’s role is to manage and tune in-house server and storage infrastructure and system operations to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. Must have experience in Data Center Hardware. Must have basic networking fundamentals - subnetting. VMware expert and Storage experience.

This position also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field discipline or equivalent experience
  • +5 years experience in the following:
    • VMware systems implementation and support
    • Microsoft Office365 administration and support
    • Microsoft Active Directory administration and support
    • Windows Server Operating Systems administration and support
    • Proficient in NAS, SAN, virtual data storage and RAID configurations
    • Data Center, power, UPS design and development
    • System backup, recovery, and restoration
    • Server hardware
    • Relevant certifications: Microsoft MCSE, MCIPT, VMware, Security, etc.
Preferred experience:
  • Nutanix hardware
  • IT Security audits

Essential Functions
  • Develop strategies for client/server implementations; architect the infrastructure required to support those strategies
  • Lead, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server environment
  • Act as project lead in the design and review of new server systems, data storage, applications, and hardware; conduct capacity planning as needed
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other administrators, business application, and database administration function to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands
  • Liaise with third-party support and equipment vendors when appropriate to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Perform system storage and file system configuration and management
  • Define and perform server backups and recovery procedures
  • Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports
  • Manage enterprise directory services (Active Directory) and supporting server infrastructure
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Recommend and execute modifications to server environment to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
  • Research emerging hardware and software products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Plus: Education: College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or strongly related field
