as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and

providing guidance to other data analysts.Primary duties may include, but

are not limited to:

Responsiblefor serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulatingrecommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts

Analyzesdata and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures. Types of analyses include:

performingsophisticated retrospective data analytics;

buildingnew and modifying existing complex models to create predictive impact decisionmaking tools

Identifiesopportunities and recommend approaches that will increase the business value ofdata.

performinghealthcare cost analysis to identify strategies to control costs;

projectingcost increases in medical services by using analytic techniques for PMPMtrending via multiple variable analysis;

preparingpre-negotiation analysis to support development of defensible pricingstrategies;

Performingmodeling to compare various contract scenarios based on member utilizationpatterns and 'what if' logic; - measuring and evaluating the cost impact ofvarious negotiation; researching the financial profitability/stability andcompetitive environment of providers to determine impact of proposed rates; -projects different cost of savings targets based upon various analytics.

Identifiescost of care savings opportunities by analyzing practice patterns in relationto office visits, referral practices, and specialty care procedures.

Developsand analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data,utilization data, and authorization data) and provides notations of performancedeviations and anomalies.

Createsand publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

Requirestaking business issues and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnosticand/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decisionsupport tools leveraging visualization tools (Tableau).

Makerecommendations based upon data analysis.

Providesanalytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, andinternal/external customers.

Dataanalysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.

Requiresa BS/BA degree in related field

Minimum5+ year’s business analysis experience; or any combination of education andexperience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Excellentcommunication skills and ability to develop insightful presentations arerequired

Experiencewith relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical softwareis required.

Abilityto manipulate large sets of data; combine abilities to access data, analyzedata, present results.

Stronganalytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.

AdvancedSQL and Excel skills strongly required

Technicalskills: Must have SQL experience, Strong Excel (incl Pivot tables, VBA),Access, PowerPoint, Word skills are required.

Proficiencyin data visualization reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) required.

FinancialReconciliation experience preferred

Takesownership for all tasks assigned to meet/exceed all deadlines

Excellentwritten, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.

Excellentanalytical, organizational, project management skills desired.
