Civic Lubbock Inc is currently seeking staff to work in concession stands at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center and the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater.
This is a part time, event driven position. This opportunity is perfect for students or anyone looking to make a little extra money with a second job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participate in the set up, arrangement of inventory, advisement to manager of any inventory deficiencies or pending shortages
Greets guests approaching stand
Acquaints guests with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques
Takes orders, prepares orders and serves guests in correct portions following proper sanitation guidelines
Record all waste
Performs clean-up duties to maintain quality appearance of the work area including cleaning equipment and the surrounding area
Cashiering Duties
Properly record all transactions via the point of sale system
Takes money from guests and provides correct change
Accurately account for all transactions, maintain accurate cash count, and balance floats at end of session
Must possess
Good organizational skills and be able to prioritize conflicts
Excellent guest service skills and adhere to CLI high service standards and expectation
Basic math skills, ability to account accurately for cash and inventory
Effective communication skills
Ability to work effectively with others including young children in a fast paced food environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant standing, walking bending, reaching and repetitive motions
Ability to remain on post for entire shift
Lift boxes of up to 35lbs
