Our Client is a casual dining concept with a from scratch kitchen, craft bar menu, a fun environment and plans for growth! They have an immediate need for a Culinary Manager in their Lubbock store.

This is an opportunity to use your talent and skills to execute a new and exciting menu, lead recipe development and help craft programs to attract Sunday brunch and late-night bar clientele.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Kitchen Manager is a fundamental part of the management team and is responsible for maximizing profits and controlling many factors such as product costs, inventory efficiencies, labor cost, staffing levels and development, safety, and productivity.

REPORTS TO: General Manager

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hands on leadership of all kitchen staff. Also responsible for cross training other managers in kitchen functions in case of absence.

• Actively monitors inventory and reports results to the General Manager.

• Sets high expectations in regard to food quality by maintaining and coaching pristine cleanliness, organization, appropriate food storage and sanitation standards.

• Maintains, controls and develops staff on food cost by properly ordering and receiving products.

• Maintains appropriate staffing pars by actively tracking labor and maintaining the budgeted staffing expectations.

• Actively contributes to recipe creation and menu rollouts.

• Verifies product consistency through constant recipe adherence, line checks and appropriate portion control.

• Interviews and hires kitchen staff according to Company standards. Stays ahead of the seasonal needs by planning appropriately.

• Ensures a safe working and guest experience environment to reduce the risk of incident, injury and food handling related issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years as a Full-Time Kitchen Manager in a full-service casual dining concept

• High School Diploma required, culinary degree preferred

• ServSafe Certification and TABC Certification are required.

• Full flexibility with your schedule

• Professional appearance

• No more than 3-4 jobs in the last 10 years
