Apply NowThe Lubbock Avalanche-JournalÂand West Texas Printing are hiring anÂInserterÂresponsible for the operation of their assigned station on the inserting line, as well as the correct and accurate insertion of customer products.
ResponsibilitiesÂinclude the following:
Place preprinted sections by hand or machine into the newspapers or another suitable jacket.
Assist mailers in the processing of newspapers including bundling, counting, labeling, typing and processing finishedÂproducts.
Pull newspapers from conveyor line and place inserts, by hand into them. Count newspapers to a designated number and make a bundle. Place that bundle on the conveyor to be processed as needed.
Neatly take preprinted sections and place them carefully into hoppers feeding various inserting or folding machinery asÂÂneeded.
Replace missing supplements by hand into jackets that haveÂbeen rejected by the inserting machine.
Catch, shake and neatly stack bundles of complete andÂincomplete jackets, or problem supplements, onto skids forÂlater use or/and for shipment to other locations.
Operate inserting, folding, labeling and tying machines as training allows.
